Agoura Hills, Calif. (February 27, 2012) - The Fender Music Foundation, along with The Jimi Hendrix Park Foundation, will jointly benefit from 15 percent of the retail price of Hard Rock’s newly released Jimi Hendrix Signature Series: Edition 29 t-shirt and pin. Proceeds to The Fender Music Foundation will support the organization’s mission to provide musical instruments to music programs in need across the country.

“Although the foundation has reached over 147,000 people through its grants of musical instruments, I think this will be a game changer for the organization,” said Moriah Scoble, Executive Director of The Fender Music Foundation. “Through this collaboration with Hard Rock, Experience Hendrix L.L.C. and Fender Musical Instruments Corporation we have the ability to more successfully communicate its messaging and distribute its resources. I can’t wait to see where this takes us.”

Although both items capture the spirit of Hendrix, the t-shirt bears a design with an historic origin: a visual representation of the Legend’s most recognizable songs, the design is the result of collaboration between Hendrix and Alan Aldridge, famed artist and creator of the Hard Rock logo. The t-shirt design, initially conceived over 40 years ago for Jimi’s own Stratocaster, has also taken new life on the back of a single Strat commissioned to commemorate Hard Rock’s 40th anniversary in 2011.

Tom Zotos, prominent artist and publisher who has spent almost two years bringing all the pieces together for the release of the collection is happy his hard work has paid off: “The bottom line is I want to spread music and music education to those who want it. Although it can be difficult, I’m not going to stop working on it, and I really hope people enjoy what we have to offer.”

Hard Rock’s Signature Series 29 collection is available on www.HardRock.com and at Rock Shops at Hard Rock Cafes, Hotels and Casinos worldwide The one-of-a-kind guitar will be displayed at select Hard Rock Cafe locations across the country during the 2012 Experience Hendrix Tour.
