Agoura Hills, Calif. (August 13, 2012) – This Tuesday, August 14, 2012, The Fender Music Foundation is partnering with your favorite artists to launch the “Give Music Life” Campaign. This campaign features today’s top artists discussing the value and need for music education and promoting it to their fans through videos and memorabilia giveaways. Each participating artist or band has created an official video statement for the “Give Music Life” Campaign and has donated signed memorabilia and/or concert and VIP tickets for their fans who also get involved.
The Fender Music Foundation has been helping keep music programs alive in schools and communities across the country since 2005 by donating instruments to music education programs.
“We are extremely lucky to have such sincere, talented, and even platinum-selling artists involved in the campaign,” said Moriah Scoble, Executive Director of The Fender Music Foundation. “This is a great way for them to speak out and do their part to further the future of music. I’m also excited that their fans can participate with them as one collective movement for the cause.”
So far, the following eight bands have confirmed their participation and have submitted their testimonial videos:
- The Ready Set (Warner Bros./Sire Records)
- Breathe Carolina (Columbia Records)
- Hellogoodbye (Wasted Summer Records)
- A Rocket To The Moon (Fueled By Ramen/Atlantic)
- The Downtown Fiction (Photo Finish Records)
- The Summer Set (Razor & Tie)
- Anarbor (Hopeless Records)
- The Early November (Drive-Thru Records)
Members of the public who participate will be selected to receive memorabilia and tickets from the participating bands and artists. To participate, post your own response to the question “What is a world without music?” to the Fender Music Foundation Facebook page. The people with the most likes or re-posts will be contacted to receive the memorabilia or tickets of their choice.
