Guitar Center Music Foundation and Artists House Music partner to Spread the Word about Music Education

Westlake Village, CA. - July 20, 2007- Guitar Center Music Foundation today announced that it has entered into an exclusive partnership with Artists House Music that will extend free online educational opportunities available to musicians worldwide.

ArtistsHouseMusic.org, the first free, comprehensive, and interactive online community for musicians and music business enthusiasts, officially launched May 1. The site's conception, and funding for its development, comes from The Herb Alpert Foundation

The Guitar Center Music Foundation was created to provide funding and resources for music programs across America so that kids and adults alike will have an opportunity to experience the joys of music. The Guitar Center Music Foundation will provide Artists House music education videos and articles in the 'Music Benefits' section of their site.

As the music business continues to evolve, artists are increasingly taking their careers into their own hands. ArtistsHouseMusic.org is unique for its cutting edge technology, appeal to music educators, and for addressing an extensive array of careers in music. Through articles, up to the minute blogs and interviews, site visitors can access the minds of music and education luminaries like Lawrence Lessig, Sandy Feldstein, Donald Passman, Glen Ballard, Chris Blackwell, and Randy Newman.

"Today, it's more important than ever for artists and music business entrepreneurs to take control of their own careers by educating themselves on the emerging technologies, techniques, and trends that are driving the future of music," says veteran producer, founder and Artists House president John Snyder. ArtistsHouseMusic.org is Music Education 2.0-a vast, interactive online resource center providing professionals and beginners with free, expert, and in-depth information to build a career in the music business."
