"Band Together for Music Education" album to benefit FMF
The Fender Music Foundation was selected as the benefiting charity of the latest Band Together compilation CD "Band Together for Music Education." All of the revenue of the sale of this album will go straight to The Fender Music Foundation.
Band Together 2 features fifteen tracks from rock and pop artists in the United States, the UK, Canada and Australia.
"We are excited these artists have chosen to use their music to make a difference," shares Moriah Harris-Rodger, the Executive Director of The Fender Music Foundation. "Each five albums sold will put a guitar in a classroom; for every 50 sold, we will be able to outfit a program with an entire keyboard lab."
The final product is the result of a month-long contest through thesixtyone.com, which offered its online platform for free. After members of the site voted and narrowed the field to fifty finalists, a judging panel chose the final track list. That panel was composed of Kina Grannis, a singer/songwriter signed to Interscope Records and a 2007 Band Together contributor; Terra Naomi, a singer/songwriter that won the inaugural YouTube Music Award for her video "Say It's Possible;" and Dave Appelbaum and Nick Block, co-founders of the music service SponsorSync.
Band Together 2 is currently on Amazon.com and iTunes, available for sample and purchase. To learn more about the album, visit http://bandtogethermusic.com
