Ildiko Vacaru Designs Winning T-shirt in Goodjoe.com Contest to Benefit FMF

  FMF T-Shirt Winner
  "Rising Music" by Timizy01.

  FMF T-Shirt Winner
  "Give Music Life" by Fay2009.

Vacaru design chosen over 137 others inspired by theme "Give. Music. Life."

AGOURA HILLS, Calif. (November 2, 2009) — Ildiko Vacaru, known as Timizy01 on Goodjoe.com, has been selected as the winner of The Fender Music Foundation t-shirt design contest with the design "Rising Music." Her design and one runner up were selected over 136 other designs.

"I was completely overwhelmed with the number of submissions Goodjoe.com received for our contest," reports FMF executive director Moriah Harris-Rodger. "I am excited to see so many people sharing their passion for music on this public platform. I hope they continue to be the voice for children, and people everywhere, who do not have the opportunity to make music."

T-shirt designers were invited to submit designs and the public were invited to vote on those designs until October 30, 2009. The winning design was selected based on how much it excites people about the cause, how wearable it is, and the votes and comments of users on the Goodjoe.com website.

Faina Khazanov-Pal's design "Give Music Life" achieved the status of runner up. Khazanov-Pal is a student at Emerson College in Boston, Mass., and is majoring in professional studies and special programs.

"I was super excited to collaborate with The Fender Music Foundation to do a t-shirt design contest," Goodjoe's Nathan Pham recalls. "Music has always been, and continues to be, a big part of my life. To see so many people participate to show their care for music education and the mission of The Fender Music Foundation has been one of the greatest experiences for me. Let's continue to give music life."

Both of these designs are for sale on Goodjoe.com and cost $20. Proceeds from both t-shirts will be donated to The Fender Music Foundation.
