Fashion Designer To Give Event Proceeds to Guitar Center Music Foundation

(Phoenix, AZ) April 18th, 2006-- New Times, Scion, SoundStyle, Jump Mobile and Guitar Center Music Foundation team up with clothing designer Tiffe Fermaint to announce the debut of her Fall & Winter 2006 collection. The event will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2006, at 7 p.m. at Paper Heart Gallery, which is located at 750 NW Grand Ave in downtown Phoenix.

Tiffe Fermaint is an independent designer based out of Phoenix and has been labeled one of the movers and shakers of her generation. All of her work is hand made in her studio and by age eight-teen had her clothing carried at local boutiques. At age nineteen, Tiffe received a nomination for "People's Choice Designer of the Year" at LabelHorde's Annual Platinum Stitch Awards. She held her first fashion week show in November of 2005 and was also honored to be a part of the fashion shows that took place on the Rock N the Seas Cruise on the Pacific Ocean in February 2006.

Fermaint is now producing her line in larger quantities. The clothing will be showcased through a short musical film by director Sean Smith and retail buyers will be able to place orders. The current Spring & Summer 2006 collection will be available for sale to the public as well.

The collection is based on Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet that is set to a rock-opera tone. "I wanted to create a romantic collection that is translated to daytime wear as well." You can find both evening and daytime pieces in the collection as well as the introduction of a limited amount of men's wear. The collection is made with rich fabrics including burn treated velvet and hand dyed silks as well as her favorite fiber, cotton. "I really enjoy working with it; dying and fraying, chenille, it's endless possibilities and doesn't have to stay casual. I really love higher end cottons like Pima and Egyptian that have that wonderful sateen finish." For more information on designer Tiffe Fermaint please view www.tiffefermaint.com.

She's excited to invite The Craze from Los Angeles as well as local bad boy DJs Dirty Dave, Guns & Nachos and Sleazy Sean to help debut the collection. Doors will open at 7pm with a cocktail and cake hour. The Featured Presentation (video) will premire at 8:30pm. This is an all ages event and there is a bar for those who are 21 and older. Retail Buyers and Press are encouraged to email rsvp@tiffefermaint.com for guest list. Cost is $5 and portions go to benefit the Guitar Center Music Foundation.
