At nine years old I knew I wanted to be a drummer. There was something about music that was fun, inspired, motivated and challenged me. I was a professional musician for 20 years. I then entered the business world, a seemingly different world, but I brought all the skills from my musical experience and they were the keys to my success. Whether you're improvising in music, business or life, the experience of playing music will benefit you. A musician would not say, "I'm going to work", they would say "I'm going to play". Having a musician's mindset in whatever you do helps eliminate stress and will undoubtedly lead to a more enjoyable life.
