I am very excited to be apart of the Foundation. I firmly believe that the children are the future of roots music in this country. Getting instruments into their hands is imperative to its survival. Seeing the way music changes young people's lives over the past 7 years with my involvement in the Blues in the Schools program has convinced me that to give a kid an instrument is to take his or her life from mono to stereo.
